I'd start Money as an administrator (right click on the item on the Start Menu and select the 'run as administrator' option). Hi Bill, don't know if you're using Windows 7, however, the steps are the same.

Every time I click on "Tax Summary" Money crashes. Everything seems to work okay except for the tax estimator section. I've been using Money 2007 Home and Business for a few months on Windows 7. Attempted to run it in Vista SP1 and XP SP3 compatibility mode but that didn't do anything. Then when attempted to run the program it looks like it is going to open, the splash screen appears and then the program exits immediately. Installed with no problems and on initial run it requested to update. Installed Money Plus 2009 on Windows 7 Build 7048 圆4. It perhaps depends on the way you did it - was it an installation over a previous version of Windows? If so, I'd recommend uninstalling and reinstalling Money. "Money was unable to load the registration library (dll)." Any ideas? I installed Windows 7 on 32 bit machine and I am getting an error. However, that's not really designed for personal finance. if you've got a small business there's always Microsoft Office Accounting 2008, which I think is free. So long as you can track your spending in Money 12 (Money 2004), and export the data into something like Excel, I think you could carry on using that version without having to change. After 4 years on Money 2005, I guess it'll remain that way. No idea whether MS will release another UK version.

so would appreciate kjnowing if I should move away from MS onto a product that will have a UK timeline. I guess the obvious question is are we ever going to see another UK version? I am currently using Money v12.0 in the Uk and need to step up to do tax returns etc. Glynn, Just read the ongoing debate re: UK Versions of Money.
